We excavate, compact the gravel base in layers, screed a bedding layer, and set the pavers with enough slope to carry water away from your house. Edges are restrained and the joints are filled with polymeric sand to lock everything in place.

Common questions
A properly built paver patio can last for decades. If a section ever settles, individual pavers can be lifted and reset, which is a big advantage over poured concrete.
Poured concrete usually costs less up front, but it cracks and is difficult to repair. Pavers cost more to install, handle freeze-thaw better, and offer far more design options.
